Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The main goal they would learn through this project-based prize cart is working with money. This year I have students in 5th grade. My goal is for them to recognize bills and learn how to budget for bigger prizes. Learning about financial literacy is so important even at a young age! I am requesting Graphite Smencils, Mini-Squishmallows, Chips, Cookies, Bars, Candies, Mini Spring Party Favors and a TPT giftcard for lessons on budgeting.

They would also learn sequencing steps in an activity, fulfilling an order, sharing, basic homework, reading and comprehension, health and hygiene, and so much more.

Having these supplies and doing this project will allow me to teach so many necessary skills to my students. I am hoping through this activity it will give them an understanding of financial literacy, self acceptance, as well as, acceptance in our school community.
