Financial Literacy Paired With P.B.I.S

Help me give my students enjoyable items to purchase (games, keychains, puzzles, etc.) using their school bucks to teach financial literacy.

My Project

P.B.I.S stands for Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support. This system helps to improve the behavior of students school-wide. It has been proven to not only improve their behavior, but, also their academics and social skills.

Our school uses Hawk Bucks (school money) to reward and recognize those students with positive behavior in and out of the classroom.

These bucks are used to purchase tangible items at the end of each quarter. The Hawk Buck Store teaches our students about financial literacy with spending and saving their money. They are also taught this skill within the classroom with their different class jobs.

The variety of toys are popular throughout the different grade levels and will help restock the store to continue teaching the importance of financial literacy.
