This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am so blessed to have 44 awesome 2nd grade students who love to learn Science and Math. These students come from diverse families, with a few English language learners and students with Special needs. As a Title I elementary school, we serve free breakfast in the classroom and most of our students receive free/reduced-price lunch. A majority of the students are from low socioeconomic backgrounds. My students are always interested in learning interactively, independently and value the essential daily life skills.

My Project

This project is to equip our Math Station with materials/ tools that we need in Math Class. My students will enjoy putting together these fun-filled puzzles, they practice counting coins and bills, and master money concepts piece by piece! Students can play pretend being in a restaurant with a fun-to-use activity box that encourages children to start reading, writing and learning numbers!

Financial literacy for kids is about ensuring that they are educated on the best way to manage finances.

One of the products also, helps develop skills in measurement and data, solving problems with money, identifying money values, and finding equivalencies. The Real-Working Cash Register Kids can ring up the fun with our real-working cash register! The built-in calculator and digital display let kids add, subtract, multiply and divide as they ring up pretend purchases. Kids just grab our Soft Seats for super-comfy seating right on the floor as they work on their station independently!

Learning money doesn't need to be boring, it needs to be engaging and meaningful! This is a way of securing their future. This is because they will be able to learn how to manage money in all ways possible. This helps them spend wisely at all times.
