My students are in a seventh, and eighth-grade gifted class. These students are part of a Title 1 school. They strive to always do their best even in tough times.
They are creative, free thinkers that desire and need challenges during this time of uncertainty and many changes.
They know that being a part of this gifted class means they will need to work hard and show determination to reach their goals. They must meet certain requirements and show leadership, good grades and attendance. They will also need to support each other in the journey.
My Project
My students learn quickly and need a different type of curriculum. We do many project-based learning lessons. This type of lesson keeps the students engaged. When students are engaged, they learn more.
Authentic lessons like the one included in this financial literacy set are just the type that appeals to my students.
These lessons will teach them real world skills.
My students embrace having choices in their learning. The materials in this kit allow me to differentiate the learning so that students can choose the project that is of interest to them. These materials also encourage collaboration which my students will experience in the workforce.
