Help me give my students a Lakeshore Real-Working ATM Bank, Lakeshore Real-Working Cash Register, Play Money, ABC Finance Coloring Book, and Melissa and Dough Pretend to Spend Toy Wallet to help them learn about financial literacy.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are special because our school is a Title One school with seventy-seven percent of pupils from low-income families. My class will consist of thirteen TK students. It is an inclusive class composed of general and special education students. They are too young to go to the store and shop with real money; therefore, they can learn financial literacy in our classroom.
Exposing students to financial literature at an early age is vital.
This project aims to incorporate picture books about money, materials that students can use to learn how money works in the real world. Help me give my students a Lakeshore Real-Working ATM Bank, Lakeshore Real-Working Cash Register, Play Money, ABC Finance Coloring Book, and Melissa and Dough Pretend to Spend Toy Wallet to help them learn about financial literacy early on in their lives.
As a result, I am excited to see how this concept plays out in my class and how my students learn about the importance of money, savings and finances through play and picture books.
The goal of this project is to introduce TK students to fundamental financial concepts such as money, saving, spending, and sharing in a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate manner. By using hands-on activities, interactive games, and real-world applications, we aim to build foundational financial literacy skills that students can use throughout their lives.
