Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students at the school are one-of-a-kind. They love school just as much as the next child. The one thing that many of the students look forward to is coming to school as a way to escape reality for a little while. My students come from a low, socio-economic status, the inner-city, and struggle with reading and math. I need to do all I can, during school hours, to help these students progress to well-developed, smart young men and women. To effectively teach students in a wide range of levels, I need many resources. Help me bring in the necessary materials to help my students succeed in school.
The majority of the students at the school come from low-economic households.
Students and parents do not have the financial means to provide essentials and we need to help students achieve greatness.
My Project
This would allow all students regardless of the economic status to get the education they deserve. With the art supplies, copy paper, new pencils and cleaning supplies all of my special education students will be able to do hands on projects rather than just the standard paper pencil ones. They will also be able to start the year off right with financial literacy. This allows these special need students to use skills that they are good at instead of always looking at the negative skills.
