Ninety percent of the students at my school receive free or reduced-price lunch. Sixty percent of the students are English as a Second Language students. Some of the students are homeless. There are also a lot of special needs students at my school.
The neighborhood that the school is located in was hit by a tornado a few years ago.
Some of the students live with grandparents or in single-parent homes. A lot of the parents are unemployed due to the recession and the economy.
My Project
The sit and teach mobile media technology cart will allow the kids to increase their knowledge and improve their education in financial literacy. The students will use the cart and seats to learn about financial literacy in groups, companions and individually. They will use technology programs that will enhance their learning and understanding. The children need a twenty-first century education. Having a technology cart will help them to be prepared for the real world. Technology is necessary for kids to help them increase their learning. The students' learning will improve in financial literacy with a technology cart.
There are many Internet programs that help children to increase their skills in financial literacy.
Technology helps to motivate the kids and helps them to be more engaged. The students can become familiar with technology with a technology cart. The students will increase their knowledge in financial literacy with this cart. The children will improve their skills in financial literacy with this technology.
