My students need a projector to complete our ENO board package.
This project expired on April 30, 2015.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students are hungry to learn and explore. Adding this projector to our already funded ENO board, will enhance their daily lives.
My students live in a technological world.
Now it is time to bring it into the classroom to keep their minds and bodies engaged in their learning day!
My students live in a high-poverty neighborhood. Out of more than 40 schools in the city, we have the lowest poverty and socio-economic climate. We are a community school so most of the children live within very close proximity and don't have the experience of the magnet and more fortunate schools that have updated technology. Due to the many issues that the children face before and after school, having a projector to complete the ENO board project will help to keep them more engaged and focused in school. Technology is what they are exposed to outside of the school. It's time to bring it into the school to enhance learning!
A projector to complete the ENO board package can put travel at our fingertips. During science when we have caterpillars going through their life cycle to a butterfly, we can also watch a video of monarch butterflies moving from Mexico to North America. We can see milkweed up close and not just talk about it. Math, reading and writing can be interactive with kids using their minds and bodies to help be part of the lessons. Using Skype with other classrooms around the country will enable them to see how other schools have technology similar to or different than our own. During Social Studies we can have live interviews of people in the community. The opportunities are endless!
A projector to couple with an ENO board in the classroom will improve our ability to work together as a team.
It will change my students' lives because it will open up so many additional learning opportunities to what I already give them.
