Film Camera Lenses

My students need 5 lenses for used film cameras I have to purchase on eBay that are part of our equipment lending library at school.

My Students

"You don't take the photograph, you make it." -Ansel Adams Help my students have enough quality film cameras to borrow from the school's lending library. Collecting one camera and lens at a time.

Not all students at my school have access to film cameras due to the widely mixed demographics of the area.

Also, film cameras are becoming harder to acquire as digital photography becomes more prevalent in our lives. Many of my students do not have the funds to purchase their own cameras. I have an increasing number of students who want to create, but cannot afford to purchase their own cameras. I am trying to build up our set of cameras that will be used to check out to these students when they take beginning film photography.

My Project

I'm asking for a few new lenses to go with some used cameras I have purchased off eBay. These are quality lenses that will last a long time and will be a great addition to our lending library. Students in beginning photography learn how to use 35mm film cameras properly, develop the film and make prints all within the classroom environment. At our school, beginning photography is 2/3's of the program and is still film based. They have several shooting assignments throughout the semester and master their skills with their creative visions.

Financial means should never be a reason why a student can't take a class.

Photography classes can be expensive with all the materials that are needed. Many students shy away from signing up for classes like these because of the pressure of finances. The cameras are the biggest expense. By providing students with a camera to checkout, many are able to create without a burden.
