it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a first year teacher trying to create the best classroom for my students. I haven’t had the privilege of meeting them yet, but I want to have works of literature that will be exciting and engaging for them. I want them to see themselves in books as heroes and heroines. The community is very diverse and low income and many of them don’t have the opportunity to read for pleasure at home, so I want reading to be exciting for them, not just something they have to do for school.
