This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a veteran teacher, and so I have accumulated a lot of things over the years. However, each year you realize there are certain things that will help you and your students do your jobs even better! These are some materials (mostly for math and organization) that I've realized would be very beneficial to have as I go into my first year teaching General Education (which I'm sure will feel like a big transition from ESL). Our math program uses a lot of consumable materials, and I would really appreciate some help replenishing my supply of Wikki Stix and colored pencils. I also know that the fraction strips will help provide visual support to my young learners for years to come. Additionally, I would be so excited to receive some of these paper trays in my project I included for organizing.
