Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a special education teacher, I am honored to teach students who defeat the odds despite everyday challenges. My students make the choice to rise above uncertainty and normality. This has prepared me for the current times we are living in now. It is because of them I am able to adjust, adapt, and embrace shifts with confidence. I write their Individual Education Plan and I Encourage Progress. My students exude strength in areas of weakness. Being able to support them is a privilege I will never take for granted.

Having being able to observe and work with students in an inclusive educational environment, I would love to be able to provide them with some "fill-in the gap" and or "missing pieces" that will contribute to their progress.

As students get older their academic rigor and relevance of curriculum is not always perceived as interesting. Organizational and Time Management skills are important skills that will help their concentration. Providing them with a visual time tracker, finger focus highlighter, and interactive notebooks will bring excitement and "fun times" to their educational journey. These creative time management tools will help keep students on track and assist with their development of independence.

My Project

These are a few tools that will keep my students on track and assist with their development of independence. Visual and auditory learners can benefit from utilizing the Visual Timer and Finger Focus Highlighter and throughout the school day. Most of their curriculum is time managed. These tools are creative ways to develop their time management skills further to be successful in the following areas: testing stamina, homework, kids activities, chores, experiments, speeches, and so much more. I am empowered and committed to supporting both students and teachers in an inclusive educational environment. Students will accelerate their growth, while feeling encouraged with the use of these tools!
