Filling A Depleted Library

My Students

I love my students' tenacity for coming to school to learn despite issues that negatively impact their lives daily. I know that inner strength makes them special. They have fighting spirits and overcome obstacles that most adults cannot. Their sheer determination is what makes me continue to want to teach and hopefully be a positive impact on their lives.

My Project

The material used will be to replace books not returned caused by the pandemic and scholars who had to leave school quickly and were not able to return (graduated, moved, etc). Our middle school is in need of novels that will be used both in class, in small groups, and during Independent Reading time.

My goal for every student is to have access to one book per month.

They are able to annotate text, read at their own speed, and test the skills we have worked on in class using books and titles that they enjoy and have hand-selected.
