Filling A Depleted Library Part II

Help me give my students non-fiction books related to understanding technology, health, and financial literacy; all lacking in our community and unfamiliar to my scholars.

My Students

I love my student's tenacity for coming to school to learn despite issues that negatively impact their lives daily. I know that inner strength makes them special. They have fighting spirits and overcome obstacles that most adults cannot. Their sheer determination is what makes me continue to want to teach and hopefully be a positive impact on their lives.

My Project

Non-Fiction Books will help to fill a big void in my classroom library. Due to the pandemic and many of our students never returning to the building, unfortunately, students had the books in their possession and were unable or could not be reached to return them. Also, non-fiction comprehension is a serious deficit as most students enjoy reading fiction more than non-fiction. The non-fiction books will allow students to read the books independently and in small groups to implement comprehension skills taught in class.

Non-Fiction books will help close a deficiency gap in comprehension.
