My Students

I have 19 awesome students this year that will benefit from and enjoy new classroom materials. This year I have students that all would love the opportunity to add to our classroom reading materials. My students need diversity in their learning resources, but also classroom library choices.

This year my students reading levels range from Kindergarten-beyond 5th grade.

Offering a vast variety of reading materials ensures that each child has text on their individual reading level. My students are curious and eager about the world around them, I want to foster this curiosity with extensive real-world learning opportunities.

An expansive library gives the students a sense of ownership and independence in the classroom. The leveled books packages grade-appropriate, curriculum connected nonfiction and fiction text to our classroom. The children are an amazing group of students and I love to see them excited about learning.

My Project

As students learn to read they need a variety of trade books as they decide what type of books they enjoy reading. By adding to our classroom library, the students can quickly and easily find an assortment of books in their preferred genre. I want my students to have access to both fiction and nonfiction books. As new books become available I want to continue to expand our library. My students will be working towards their school goal of reading for 20 minutes every single day. Help me foster a love of reading for my second graders. Let’s fill the bookshelves!
