This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Sixth grade is such an exciting time for middle school students. I want my classroom to be able to help their many different learning styles and give them the freedom to sit where they learn best. So far we have high tables with bar stools where students are able to stand if they wish. Eight tables were donated through DonorsChoose with flexible seating to match! Students have the choice of regular chairs, stools, yoga balls, wobble stools, or low back chairs.

Please help our classroom become an even more enriching learning environment!

Students in my classroom are motivated to learn, and I would like to give them all the tools they need for their education. Some students spend half of their day in my classroom (three periods), and I would like to be able to give them a welcoming place to learn. Please help us continue the hard work that goes on in the room!

My Project

Please help fill our shelves with books that will help our students going into the 4th quarter! The 4th quarter is all about Greek mythology and the students absolutely love it! I have included the graphic novel version of our beloved Percy Jackson as well as some books that focus on Greek gods and goddesses.

Also, this time around I am focusing on books with a strong Latino/Latina protagonist lead.

Most of these books come from YA award-winning lists and I am beyond excited to bring them into my classroom library.

My bookshelves have never been so busy and I want to keep the momentum going and give these students, as well as future students, books they will remember!
