My Project
These books will continue to enrich my Gifted classroom. My classroom library is a place my students appreciate as I strive to stock books that are challenging with diverse characters and authors. Students can borrow books as needed, take them home, get lost in them, and share them with others. With limitations at both the school and public libraries, Gifted students value the opportunity to access thought-provoking literature in a safe environment. Each of these books has been chosen with Gifted students in mind. Students will be able to choose books that will help them continue to develop a love and appreciation for books.
With these new books, my Gifted students will be able to read from a diverse selection of books that will allow them to read independently at their high reading level.
These books will also fall into what they find interesting. My students love to read, and the availability of new, diverse, challenging books will pique their interest even more.
