My Students

Help fill my infants and toddlers speech and language bag with items to play with. "Play gives children a chance to practice what they are learning." -Mr. Rogers

I am a Speech and Language Pathologist that services infants and toddlers in their homes.

My students and I are in need of educational toys to stimulate language in the natural environment. Many of my students do not have enough money to buy food and/or clothing, let alone toys.

My Project

With the educational toys, stories and picture cards, my inner city infants and toddlers will be exposed to language in the natural environment. Parents will be exposed to appropriate educational toys geared to their particular child's development and/or age. It is my responsibility to educate parents on the appropriate language to use with their children through the use of these materials.

My focus is to use these educational toys to stimulate language with my caseload of infants and toddlers.

I hope that these children who are developmentally delayed will start to use words verbally to make their wants and needs known.
