This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our school motto is success and nothing less! Our students are challenged daily to do their best at home, in the community, and at school.
We are considered a Title I school, where the majority of students are from low socioeconomic backgrounds.
Most of our students qualify for the Free/Reduced-Price Lunch Program and a great number have limited to no access to technology in the home.
However, even with all of these challenges, our students show up every day with smiling faces and a positive attitude ready to take on the world.
My Project
Providing my students with a reading and writing skills folder game library will give my students a variety of fun and engaging ways to help build their vocabulary, practice reading comprehension, and improve their grammar and writing skills. These resources will afford my students with a multitude of quick and easy, ready to go activities for independent practice, and because all the activities are self-checking they’ll receive instant reinforcement! I plan to utilize this resource to provide targeted intervention during small group instruction. Often times, exceptional students require continuous review of skills and these games will provide a fun way to review skills. This file folder game library is just what my students need to strengthen their reading and writing skills.
