Filament Fever: Keeping Student Creativity from Running on Empty!

My Project

After successfully bringing fourteen projects to life with DonorsChoose, we’ve realized one thing—our students have an endless supply of creativity, but unfortunately, our 3D printer filament isn’t infinite! To keep up with their ever-growing design ambitions, we need more filament to fuel their innovative ideas. Without it, we risk heartbreaking "out of filament" errors and a classroom full of students staring longingly at unfinished prints.

With this essential material, students can continue learning through hands-on design and fabrication, tackling real-world challenges with problem-solving and ingenuity.

Whether they’re designing custom light switch plates, game pieces, robotics components, or their latest locker accessories (because who doesn’t want the coolest locker in school?), our students are pushing the boundaries of creativity every day.

Our goal is simple: empower students with the skills to navigate the engineering design process, build confidence, and turn their wildest ideas into reality. With your support, we’ll ensure that no brilliant design gets left behind due to a lack of filament. Let’s keep the prints rolling!
