Students discover the design process and develop an understanding of the influence of creativity and innovation in their lives. They are then challenged and empowered to use and apply what they’ve learned throughout the unit to solve a series of problems. These projects are all related to real life examples that the students will experience. Some examples of these are designing light switch plates, puzzles, game pieces, consumer products, locker accessories, holiday ornaments, Echo Dot holders and gears for robotics to name a few. The ultimate goal of the course is to have them learn the engineering design process and apply it to their life.
