My Project

We propose creating a 3D Print Farm at our middle school to transform digital creations into tangible three-dimensional objects, serving as a versatile resource for multiple departments. Our students, who are Title I and incredibly creative, will especially benefit from this opportunity to bring their imaginative ideas to life. The Visual Arts department will use the Print Farm to convert students’ digital artwork into physical sculptures and models, deepening their understanding of form and spatial design. The Drama department can produce custom props and costume accessories, adding a unique and professional touch to performances. Additionally, this resource will support core academic subjects such as Math, English Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies by providing scale models and physical representations of concepts, helping students engage with abstract ideas in a hands-on, visual way. This interdisciplinary tool will foster creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking, while also developing valuable digital design and problem-solving skills. With dedicated printers, training for staff and students, and a structured management system, the 3D Print Farm will become a dynamic hub for innovation, enriching learning experiences across the school and preparing our students for future technology-driven opportunities.
