Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach fifth graders that belong to different backgrounds and ethnicities. My students are enthusiastic, inquisitive, and inquiring learners who love to learn each day.
They are remarkably inspired to learn and do their best in school.
I teach at an exceptional, diverse, and distinctive school in California where most of our students receive free lunch.
My students speak many different languages like Spanish in different versions at home. We always celebrate the things that make us different, and the things that make us the same. This wonderful class is a family at school.
Each of my students comes with glee to learn and become inventive in class. One great evidence is that my attendance is always perfect. The aim for my project is to enhance academic language in class with resources that will develop skills when demonstrating understanding of figurative language, word relationships and nuances in word meaning. I am also requesting vocabulary folders that will help my students boost skills in context clues, Greek and Latin affixes and roots .Finally, I would like to offer Percy Jackson books as the best reading choice to make my fifth graders understand valuable lessons about friendship, self-discovery, and overcoming challenges.
