This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Providing fidgets to your 9th graders can significantly improve their learning by offering a physical outlet for excess energy or anxiety, helping them stay focused and engaged during lessons. Many students benefit from sensory tools like fidgets, as they can improve concentration, reduce stress, and enhance classroom participation without becoming distractions themselves.

Goals for the project:

Increase student engagement and attention during class.

Support diverse learning styles, especially for students who may struggle with focus.

Create a more inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable using tools that aid their learning.

What makes our students special: They are unique because they attend a public charter school, come from diverse backgrounds, and are hands-on learners. As 9th graders, they're at a critical transition point in their education, needing strategies to manage increasing academic demands and develop self-regulation skills. Providing fidgets can empower them to take control of their learning and create a more personalized educational experience.
