My Project
Working at a Title I school in Cleveland, Ohio comes with a variety of challenges. One of the biggest challenges is dealing with hunger in the classroom. Although my students are middle schoolers, they often overlook and neglect their basic needs. Students come to my class with empty stomachs; this stems from lack of resources or sheer forgetfulness dealing with the stressors of life.
Conquering student hunger is an achievable goal when we all work together to fight it.
Students will have more focus and clarity of mind when hunger is satiated. Thank you for your support in providing a variety of snack options.
