This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are energetic, creative, and eager to grow, both in and out of the classroom. What I love most is their passion for learning and their ability to push through challenges with resilience. Many come from underserved communities and don't always have access to enrichment opportunities that support both their physical and academic development.
This project combines the power of literacy with the discipline of boxing.
With boxing gloves, agility gear, training tools, and culturally relevant books, students will engage in a unique program that builds confidence, focus, self-discipline, and a love for reading. The physical training teaches perseverance and body awareness, while the literature helps students connect with powerful stories that reflect their identities and dreams.
These resources will create an inclusive and empowering space where students can grow stronger, mentally, physically, and emotionally. Your support helps me give them an outlet for expression, motivation to stay engaged in learning, and a pathway to success that feels exciting and personal.
