it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love how hardworking and resilient my students are. Many of them come to school facing challenges outside the classroom, yet they show up ready to learn and do their best every day. However, hunger can make it difficult to focus, stay engaged, and absorb new information. That’s why I want to provide them with snacks—so they can fill their stomachs before filling their brains.
The snacks I’m requesting will make a big difference in their learning by giving them the energy they need to stay focused throughout the day.
A small snack can help students concentrate better, participate more actively, and feel more comfortable in the classroom. By providing these snacks, I am helping to combat food insecurity in our community, ensuring that every student has access to the nourishment they need to succeed. It’s amazing how something as simple as a granola bar or a pack of crackers can brighten their day, make them feel cared for, and provide the fuel they need to excel in their studies.
My goal for this project is to create a supportive and welcoming environment where students can focus on learning without the distraction of hunger. Many of my students don’t always have access to snacks during the school day, and I want to ensure they have what they need to be successful. These snacks will not only fuel their minds but also bring them a little joy, helping them feel valued and supported.
