Fifth Graders Need Healthy Snacks for Testing

My Project

This project will provide my 24 fifth graders with healthy and yummy snacks to eat before our state testing in May. My fifth graders will take a reading, math, and science state assessment and need healthy snacks to help fuel their brains! My students often tell me how hungry they are, I bring in snacks from my own pantry at home to share with them but would love to have our classroom snack cabinet full for them to use during testing. I surveyed the students and filled up my DonorsChoose cart with their favorites such as Nutri-grain bars, pretzels, gummies, applesauce, slim jims, water, and fruit juice. My school is a Title I school, 100% of students are eligible for free or reduced-price lunches. I want to create a welcoming environment in my classroom on the morning of state testing days so they can come in and have healthy snacks with each other and help calm their testing day jitters. Your donation will make it possible for 24 amazing fourth graders to enjoy a healthy snack each day of testing.
