Fiesta Bowl Charities Wishes For Teachers Robotics/Coding Technology Support

Help me give my students access to necessary equipment to learn computer coding and robotics. This includes printers, headphones, and ThinkPads.

My Students

My students have been identified as Gifted and come to me as part of a one day a week pull-out program for Mesa Public Schools. Each day I teach a different grade level from grades 3-6. We are focusing on the the design method and part of that includes robotics and computer programming.

My 6th graders are working on robotics and the moment but we do not have laptops to effectively work on the coding.

My 5th grade students are working on computer programming and need laptops that we have access to every day.

My Project

These materials are going to allow the students to delve into robotics and computer coding fully. The laptops will be used for the coding and the printers will be used to help design presentations to the school and community.

Each week during the year the students are given new lessons to help them with computer programming.

At the end of the year we will present a showcase where the students will present their learning and the process they went through including their flow charts. A lot of time is spent on the computer during the process and as the project progresses printing necessary challenges and flowcharts is also important.
