Field Trip: Tour UC Berkeley & Attend Drum Tao Performance

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We have not been able to take our students on field trips for years now. We have finally gotten the go-ahead to take our kids off campus and experience different educational settings and adventures. We will be taking 100 students on the BART train to UC Berkeley. While on campus, students will participate in a scavenger hunt to discover some of CAL's main features and landmarks. We will also be attending a Japanese Taiko Drumming performance by Drum Tao at Zellerbach Hall.
Our students truly deserve a field trip, which many have not been able to do for the last 4 years.
It will be an incredibly memorable trip, visiting a prestigious college campus, attending a world-renowned drumming performance, and building relationships and community amongst each other. It is also a wonderful experience leading up to Asian & Pacific Islander Heritage Month. The drinks and snacks will be provided to each student and chaperone attending the trip. These little goodie bags will help students feel special, give them some energy, and allow us to stick to our schedule without having to stop to get snacks while we're there. Thank you for helping to make this field trip one they will remember.
