Field Trip to Construction Kids

My students need a field trip to Construction Kids to take part in a creative hands-on workshop.

My Students

Our Title I school is located in a very diverse neighborhood in Brooklyn. My students are 5 years old. They are an enthusiastic and hard-working bunch. Many of my kindergarteners are growing up in low-income homes and do not have access to the learning materials at home needed to promote their academic growth. Regardless of the challenges they face, my students are highly motivated and love coming to school.

The spectrum of developmental levels in kindergarten is vast, and I am working hard to meet the needs of all my students.

My Project

My students love building and creating. I believe that it's the best way to learn! I constantly strive to provide my students with dynamic hands-on experiences that enrich their learning. I would love to take my students on a trip to Construction Kids. It is a wonderful place where kids learn about the world by building and creating real things.

At Construction Kids, even kindergartners can learn to work with hammer and use nails.

My students will have an opportunity to use real tools to construct projects, such as small vehicles, which they can take home and play with. Kindergartners will make their own toys! Imagine that! Your donation will give my students a unique experience, which I can't possibly provide in the classroom. This will be a truly memorable field trip.
