Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students attend a public Title I school in South Carolina. They are a great group of girls and boys that simply love coming to school and adore learning. My students have a passion for discovering new things and come to school daily hungry for more.
Our classroom is blessed with many diverse students, some who have learning disabilities, speak a foreign language and even a few who are newcomers to the United States.
It is our diverse population that makes us special and allows us to grow.
My Project
Our 5th graders will be going to Atlanta, GA for our big field trip this year! We need healthy snacks to fuel their energy while they apply their learning and tour museums, factories, and even spend the night in the aquarium. The snacks that have been chosen are well-rounded, healthy options to help students remained fueled so that they may take in all that they can on our field trip.
In order to make this wonderful opportunity financially possible for our Title I students, we need the support of our community to ensure they will have everything they will need.
