Empowering Special Needs Students with Adaptive Resources
My special needs students are bright, determined, and full of potential.
Every day, they inspire me with their curiosity and resilience. However, our outdated field equipment is limiting their ability to grow and thrive.
To enhance their motor skills, coordination, and confidence, we urgently need two final pieces of adaptive equipment: collapsible agility hurdles and football trainer targets. These are the last items needed to complete our equipment list for Field Day, a school-wide culminating event that celebrates our students’ progress and achievements. The collapsible hurdles will help develop agility, balance, and coordination, while the football trainer targets will improve hand-eye coordination and throwing accuracy, both underhand and overhand.
These tools will not only be used throughout the year to ensure consistent skill development but will also play a central role in making Field Day an inclusive and empowering event for all students.
My goal is to create an environment where physical education is accessible, joyful, and focused on helping every student feel capable and successful. My students persevere through challenges, teaching us the power of determination and diversity. With your support, we can provide them with the tools they need to thrive and shine!
