Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I currently work in an inner city school that has limited resources. My students come from tough backgrounds and often view our school as a safe space. This year has been tough as the students have just returned to in-person learning after being home for two years. I love my students because they have such strong personalities and they let them shine. My students are also fantastic because they are the funniest bunch of kids.
My students have not had a field day in two years.
Your donation would assist us in purchasing special materials and blank shirts that the students will use to design their own field day shirts. Normally, the school provides shirts for the children, but this year they were not able to for some reason. Your donation would make field day and the week leading up so special for my fantastic class. I love my class; I would do anything for them. However, I need some help with this one.
