My students are bright and willing to learn but also have a hard time focusing because they are so young and new to school. The fidget keyboards will help my kindergarteners have a fun way to locate and push letters as we spell simple words together.
My goal for the fidget keyboards is that it will encourage the students to find and recognize letters, preparing them for real keyboards later.
Our world is becoming increasingly based off of technology, software programs, etc. If they can use a keyboard they can interact with programs and technology in more efficient ways.
My students are amazing because they are trying their best. We are in a title I area and my students often don't have support at home to do well in school or to learn a new thing but they show up and they are eager and happy, it's awesome. They are also special because they are mine. I get to work with them, which makes them wonderful and special to me and I want to give them the best that I can, just like they try their best for me.
