A typical day in my classroom is very routine and orderly. (I have to say that to save my sanity!) With all of the information and new concepts they will learn, I hope by the end of the year my students can reflect back and recall one thing they learned, one thing they loved, and one thing they will miss.
I have a wide variety of learning and social needs in my classroom .
My room is a CWC classroom, teaching and assisting both regular education and special education students.
I can't forget the needs of my gifted students either. Support teachers do assist at some points of the day which helps out very tremendously.
The day is always filled with new and exciting things. We are an amazing classroom community and we respect and care for each other, though we are ALL different in so many ways.
My Project
These Bouncy Bands will help aid in focus and lessen distractions in the classroom. The bands are easily attached to the legs of the students desks to provide a "hammock" to rest their feet in. It will also allow them to swing their legs back and forth and cause no distraction. I imagine it is hard for a little mind and body to stay seated during some instruction time. I think these Bouncy Bands will be a wonderful addition to our classroom and benefit all learners! Not to mention, the teacher as well!
I cannot wait to see the effect the Bouncy Bands will have in the classroom and with each individual students success.
I know that this project will benefit my classroom enviroment greatly. I have had two donors choose projects funded over the years and they have provided amazing change in my classroom.
DonorsChoose is the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
As a teacher-founded nonprofit, we're trusted by thousands of teachers and supporters across the country. This classroom request for funding was created by Mrs. Mills and reviewed by the DonorsChoose team.
