Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Last year our school created social emotional kits for each of our classrooms and for our support services offices. The kits have a variety of different items to address scholar emotions in class. The items I am requesting will be added to the kit to support emotion regulation.

The social emotional kits in the classroom allow for our scholars to have a separate and safe space to relax there minds when they are upset or frustrated.

Each student has time to use the different items in the kit to calm down before returning to the group.
