My Project

In a classroom filled with eager minds and diverse abilities, my students who face significant challenges due to disabilities, exemplify resilience and determination. Despite their unique needs, they approach each day with an insatiable thirst for knowledge, eager to surpass their own expectations. However, their journey towards academic success is hindered by sensory obstacles. Living in a low-income neighborhood where 89% of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunches, accessing resources is a constant struggle. Yet, amidst these challenges, they embody a relentless spirit of learning. As a special education teacher in Daly City, I witness their unwavering dedication daily.

This isn't just about fidgets; it's about providing them with the tools they need to navigate their educational journey effectively.

Tools like sensory rings, stress balls, and fidget toys can help these students remain more focused, enhancing their learning experiences and empowering them to develop essential life skills. Your contribution will help create an environment where every child, regardless of their abilities or background, can thrive and succeed.
