This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project aims to provide our students with anxiety fidget toys that incorporate educational elements, such as multiplication bracelets and pop-up learning tools. These items are designed not only to help manage anxiety but also to enhance learning engagingly.

These fidget toys serve a dual purpose: they provide sensory mental relief for students while encouraging active learning.

The specific items we’re requesting will make a significant difference in our students’ learning experiences. For example, multiplication bracelets can help reinforce math skills while giving students something to focus on with their hands. This combination of tactile engagement and educational content creates a more conducive learning environment, allowing students to concentrate better and participate more fully in classroom activities.

Our goals for this project include enhancing focus and concentration by providing students with fidget toys that help manage anxiety, promoting active learning through educational elements in the toys, and creating a supportive atmosphere where students feel comfortable and equipped to learn. We also aim to encourage social interaction by facilitating peer engagement through group activities that incorporate the fidget toys, helping to build a sense of community in the classroom.

Our students are incredibly resilient and diverse, each bringing unique strengths and challenges to our classroom. Many of them experience anxiety, which can impact their ability to learn and engage fully. Their determination to succeed, despite these obstacles, is truly inspiring. By providing them with these innovative fidget toys, we can empower them to take control of their learning and create an environment that celebrates their individuality. Together, we can support their academic journeys and help them thrive both socially and emotionally.
