We have a diverse group of learners at our elementary. Our students come from a variety of backgrounds and all have a different set of needs.
One way I can meet the needs of my students is by providing them with tools to increase their learning!
I tell my students that I know them well, but they know best how they learn, so they make the decisions as to how they will learn each day. Through the funding of this project, I will be able to give them additional choices that they can benefit from!
My Project
I have included many great tools to help students get the most out of their daily learning. Bouncy chair bands and fidget tools will help them concentrate on their work. Having timers as a visual is an amazing way to keep students motivated. A large visual will be used at teacher table and individual, smaller timers can be used by students to monitor their own progress during independent work time. Also included are, word work games to help our spelling and Boogie Boards will help us manage our time as they will be kept at teacher table...no more running around trying to find their slates. We will maximize our learning time by getting to groups quickly and within the group as they erase with the click of a button!! I LOVE doing work on slates as much as I can as it is more engaging than paper pencil. They are great to use as a quick informal assessment tool to check student understanding! Boogie Boards will make our learning experience even more fun!!
