My Project
Ever feel like you're so full of stress, anxiety or feelings you just can't label that you're just going to burst? It is a real thing and it is hard to manage, especially when you are a middle school student grappling with big feelings that seem to change on a dime. One of the toughest things to do is relax, reset and come down from that heightened state.
Talking it out is proven to help, but that is hard to do when everything in your body is telling you not to settle down or to move- enter the need for fidgets.
Fidgets are tools to help kids (and really anyone) to settle, focus, and put that energy into something else in order to talk about their needs, relax and reset. The fidgets in this project are the tried and true favorites of my middle schoolers at our school. Your donation will ensure I have a solid stock pile of these tools in the counseling office for students (and maybe even some adults) to use. Your donations to the counseling office help us address the needs of kids in the moment, building their capacity to manage stress, big emotions, and anxieties.
