This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My 9th Grade Health students discuss some challenging topics in class. Sensory and fidget toys can help us cope and process. My students are excited to to come to class and are more engaged in discussions when I have sensory and fidget toys available. They're also more likely to put their phones away and leave them away. I have been stocking a fidget center for a while now using items purchased with personal funds or from private company donations. However, with so many students coming through each day, slimes and toys must be frequently replaced in order to maintain our center in good condition, and expenses are ongoing throughout the year.
I would love to purchase these items for my students to ensure we have a fully stocked sensory and fidget center for the upcoming school year.
I know my students will love the variety of items, including number puzzles, butter slime with charms, pop-its, and magnetic putty. Thank you for considering this project; we appreciate your support!
