This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are a 5th grade team teaching primarily low income and hispanic students that need emphasis on vocabulary skills. This is a very energetic, lovable group of kids. They work hard and are excited to learn new things. We are planning to get this class set of books to focus on kindness and engage students in a love of reading. We will work with them on fluency, accuracy, kindness, summaries, and vocabulary. Our school has an Anti-bullying focus this year and this book ties in perfectly! This will be implemented in all three of our 5th grade classes.
