Ferris Wheel STEAM

Help me give my students a Ferris Wheel K'Nex set to design, engineer, code and build in STEAM class! This will be a permanent installation in our school.

My Project

Our school is a STEAM aerospace focused school located at an airport. We pride ourselves on hands on project based learning.

This kit will allow groups of students to build a giant ferris wheel out of K'Nex over several weeks.

They will learn to plan, read instructions, design, work together, test, retest, and redesign as they build this model. Once built, we will display this in the school and it actually moves! I attended the Infosys PD the past two summers and will incorperate the coding from those professional development sessions for us to code the ferris wheel to stop/start during school hours, light up, or anything else our learners desire!
