Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a class, our ELA 11 classes are reading Fences by August Wilson. While we have enough copies for everyone to read along in class, we do not have enough for everyone to bring one home. That means that students need to leave their books in the classroom.
When students miss school, having their own copy of the book allows them to stay caught up with their peers!
It is important that our students have access to school materials even when they are absent from school. Without enough copies for every person in each class, this is not possible. This project will make sure that students who are absent will still have access to the text so they can make up the reading that they missed.
