My Project

Reading is great. We know that -- but it can be difficult to get students to learn to LOVE reading, especially when all they have to read are the textbooks being used in class. I want to give my students access to MORE of the books they love -- like graphic novels.

Children read more when they are allowed to read the books they WANT to read.

These graphic novels are quite popular, and will ensure that more of my struggling readers will keep reading independently.

While all of my students will enjoy these books, it's good to have more books with girls as the protagonists, to help keep ALL of students engaged.
