My Students
My 4-year-old students in my class are curious and not afraid to try new things. Some students have learning challenges and a few students speak another language.
They are caring, kind, and learning to take care of ourselves, each other, and our community.
My Project
Due to the pandemic, my prekindergarten students have fewer opportunities to have conversations with others in the class. However, it is critical to develop their language skills including speaking and story-telling before they enter kindergarten.
Felt play stretches their imaginations, felt play helps in developing the brain and memorization capacity, felt play helps in building vocabulary, and children can try new roles through felt play.
The felt board story-telling center will provide opportunities for my students to enjoy retelling activities while developing hand-eye coordination and manipulation, recitation, imagination, speaking. But most of all felt board story-telling center will be so much fun!
