This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every year I do whatever I can to make my classroom feel as warm and welcoming as possible. I also try to put up several bulletin boards in the school. I work in a very old building; it has gray cement walls that are not very appealing. I want our students to want to come to school, to feel safe in our school, to love being in our school. This comes mostly from the adults in the building. We have some of the best staff members I've ever worked with. A beautiful, bright, positive building helps too.
