My Project
These materials will aid work with younger students who struggle with emotional regulation, and have not yet learned strategies to understand their emotions.
My goal is to teach children that all emotions are okay and that there are adaptive ways to manage feelings.
This will help reduce conflict, behavioral issues, and thus disciplinary actions.
Students in my large group and small group lessons are loving the characters, the stories, songs and animations to show feelings! They are eager to learn and share their experiences as we read the books and engage in conversations about how to handle challenges. They are loving the books and characters during our lessons.
I will teach kindergartners and primary age children about all emotions, and how to manage them in healthy ways. This will foster positive social interaction, attentive and engaged learning and thus improved academic performance.
The items included in this request are child friendly, multisensory and establish basic understanding and coping methods to employ.
