Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a math specialist, I work with K-5 students who are below grade level in math. They have huge hearts and spirits and give it their all. They may come to school under difficult circumstances, but remain resilient and look at the celebrations to be had beyond the tests.
Working in a dual language international school, many of my students navigate a cultural divide with amazing grace.
Most of my students are on free and reduced-price lunch while also striving towards being bi-literate global citizens. My students work together as a community trying to achieve and be the best they can be.
My Project
I was fortunate enough to previously attend a training and utilize Cloud Nine math. I think this would be a wonderful supplement to the work already being done at my current school. Many students that I work with struggle with previous grade level standards that are needed to access core curriculum.
There is no one magic curriculum for students, so On Cloud Nine would be an amazing resource for students that need just that little extra.
This program spans all grade levels and is very accessible to both students and teachers. Thank you for considering this resource for my students!
